TEENAGE drama students are getting ready to take to the high seas for their latest performance.
Following the success of last spring's production of The Mikado, pupils and staff at St Patrick's School, Thornaby, are performing Gilbert and Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance today and tomorrow.
The cast has promised the play will be a swashbuckling tale of deceit and piracy with music, spectacular costumes and some terribly bad jokes.
The large cast of pupils from all year groups will don earrings and swill grog for the performances, which take place at 7.30pm in the school hall.
The cast includes Danny Wilkinson as Frederick, Sarah Johnson as Mabel and Peter Taylor as Major General Stanley with Philip Green making his debut as The Pirate King.
