TWO community groups in Redcar and Cleveland have received a £7,393 boost from the National Lottery.
Teesside Athletic Junior Football Club and the regeneration group Change received the money from the Awards for All programme.
The junior football club, which aims to promote a healthier lifestyle by encouraging participation in all sports, will spend its £4,200 grant on running an after-school club giving children an opportunity to participate in various sports.
Change, established to develop a local regeneration initiative to benefit the whole community, was awarded £3,193 and will use the cash to create an outdoor children's play area.
Application forms for Lottery grants are available by ringing 0845 600 2040.
