Auckland Area CIU League: The pool section is very tight with Cockton Hill and Old Shildon sharing the top spot when both made good wins.
Old Shildon produced the better result when they whitewashed the visiting Evenwood with wins from Martin Aldworth, Alan Bell, Colin Bell and Darren Blood. Cockton Hill dropped a point on their visit to Horndale, who had Sean Musgrave as their only winner. The winners for the Hill were Dennis Race, Peter Race and Russell Place.
The whist section also has joint leaders after Horndale drew with Cockton Hill and Eldon Lane drew with West Auckland. Horndale had wins from Jackie Coatsworth and Gordon Mills, whilst Bob Bradley and Peter Race replied for the Hill. Eldon Lane had wins from Alan Race and Ray Race with Ian Bowes and Mick Townsend equalising for West Auckland.
The dominoes section sees Old Shildon two points clear of Evenwood after the pair drew. Alan Bell and John Collingwood won for Old Shildon with Tony Webb and Mick Holmes levelling for the visitors.
Horndale are four points clear of Old Shildon at the top of the fives and threes. Chris Musgarve and Jeff Bowran won for Horndale with Brian Talbot and Alan Wynn replying for Cockton Hill.
In the top of the table clash in the darts section, West Auckland were able to move four points clear after they beat their hosts at Eldon Lane by the odd point. The home side had wins from John Eales and Kevin Weldon, whilst West Auckland went to victory by adding the team game to the wins from Rob Douthwaite and Brian Denham.

Willington Ladies League
Willington Club B got back to winning ways in the darts section after three consecutive defeats with a three points home win against Willington Black Horse A. This keeps the Club B 11 points clear at the top of the table with Willington Club A in second place, four points ahead of Sunnybrow Brown Trout.
Willington Burn shot up to share the top spot in the dominoes section with Willington Cottles A when they whitewashed their hosts at Hunwick Joiners Arms. The Burn have a match in hand of Cottles, whilst the pair of them hold a three points lead over Willington Market and five points over the Prospect Club.
