A clash of dates meant that the NYSD Cross Country fixture at Newton Aycliffe was not as well supported as it might have been.
In the Under 15 boys William Hayward came 24th in 12.37 and Stuart McLaughlin 26th in 12.50.
Steve Hepples of Loftus was again the winner of the men's event in 27.37 minutes, with the two T & S entrants, Richard Hall 18th in 31.52 and Merv Burn 40th in 33.55, out of 135 runners.
The ladies' race was won by Joanne Jackson of M & C, Angela Hall finished 12th in 19.30, Fiona Wilson 47th in 24.06, Sharon Keegan 52nd in 24.28 and Karen Hudson 55th in 25.00. There were 63 finishers in the ladies' event.
In the latest social outing, a party of about 35 visited Darlington Civic Theatre to see the comedy, "Stones in his pocket". The next gathering will be for an Indian meal after the cross country fixture at Thirsk.
