A FOOTBALL fanzine is today celebrating its 15th birthday, making it the longest running fans' magazine in the North-East.
There will be a commemorative edition of Fly Me To The Moon, written by Middlesbrough FC fans, as the team takes on Liverpool.
In it there will be a major interview with Boro legend Colin Cooper, a senior player during the 15 years since the publication launched in 1988, as well as the mix of satire and serious commentary by fans.
Editor Rob Nichols said: "Fifteen years ago, we would never have dreamed that we would still be here.
"It is amazing to think from such humble beginnings we have now become a firm part of many Boro fans' match day tradition. We will continue as long as people are reading and writing. Who knows, we might even be here in another 15 years."
On Wednesday, at 8pm, there will be a party at the Georgian Theatre, in Stockton, when Boro writer and Guardian columnist Harry Pearson will give a humorous reading. Entry is £2.
