A capacity crowd turned out on Friday to hear acoustic sets from Eskimo, Morgan and Dave Relton, organised by The Northern Echo's music website Revolution.
Virtually all tickets had been reserved before the doors opened for Revolution's first Platform show at Darlington Arts Centre.
Dave Relton performed a fine blend of soulful, self-penned material and left the stage to enormous applause.
Bishop Auckland's Adrian "Morgan" Hopper produced an excellent fusion of folk and country songs taken from his debut album The Boy from Anywhere.
The Davidson brothers, on rhythm guitar and light percussion provided support for Morgan.
The majority of the audience had journeyed from North Yorkshire to hear Eskimo, who were the final act of the night.
Eskimo, made up of Tom Duffy and Luke Southgate, performed with a three-piece strings trio, keyboard and female backing singer.
Presenters of the night and 96.6TFM breakfast show host Cara Paterson said: "All the performances were great. I will be having Eskimo on my show very soon for a chat."
