HOME affairs editor for ITN, Shiulie Ghosh, is to be given an honorary degree by the University of Teesside at this week's graduation ceremon-ies, which start tomorrow.
Miss Ghosh, originally from Marton, Middlesbrough, was a student at Teesside Preparatory and High School for Girls in Eaglescliffe from 1979 to 1986 and was guest of honour at the school's speech day in 2001.
In her address, she looked back on her time at school with affection and gave advice to students who were keen on a career in the media.
Miss Ghosh studied law before making her career in television.
