A DECISION is to be made on whether a residents' association can continue to lease a council-owned property.
South Bank Residents' Association, in South Bank, near Middlesbrough, uses Loughtonhurst, a Victorian terraced property in South Terrace, to run a Credit Union, and hold social events.
The Citizen's Advice Bureau also has two workers based at the property who hold two advice sessions there a week.
Officers at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council are recommending that cabinet members approve the granting of a 21-year lease at a peppercorn rent at their meeting on Tuesday, December 2.
