A MUSIC teacher has been reward for his inspirational work for the second consecutive year.
David Ferrari, a teacher at Teesdale Comprehensive School, Barnard Castle, was given a certificate of commendation in Classic FM's 2003 Music Teacher of the Year Awards in recognition of his music education work.
Mr Ferrari was one of only 20 teachers to receive a commendation out of the hundreds of entries submitted.
Last year, Mr Ferrari was one of 50 teachers to be awarded a certificate of merit.
Paul Harrison, headteacher at Teesdale School, said: "This recognises his hard work and the contribution he has made to the school and the community."
Mr Ferrari said: "I'm very, very pleased to have got this award. I really love my job and I find the students at Teesdale really enjoyable to work with."
