Tow Law Coors Cup: In the First Round Tow Law New Market A were stretched to beat the visiting Billy Row Club by the narrowest of margins.
In the match made up of six darts and dominoes singles with three doubles at both games the New Market made their victory by winning both sections by the odd point.
In the darts section the New Market A had singles points from Kenneth Atkinson, David Dixon, John Parkin and Colin Armstrong, whilst Carl Wilcockson and Dave Andrew replied for the Club. Similarly at dominoes the home side were able to take four of the singles with wins from Bobby Gray, Raymond Wright, Kenneth Atkinson and John Parkin with Bob Potts and John Wilkes replying. Billy Row then took two doubles at each game from the three played but it was just not enough to guide them to victory.

Willington Ladies League
In the darts section Sunnybrow Brown Trout slipped further behind the two teams from Willington Club when they lost by three points at Willington Club A. This leaves Willington Club B eleven points clear of their A team, who have now moved seven points clear of the Brown Trout.
The top of the table clash in the dominoes section saw Willington Market move up to share second place with their visitors from Willington Cottles A, who only managed one point. Willington Burn command the table with a three points lead and a match in hand, whilst the Prospect Club are three points adrift of the joint second placed teams.

Auckland Area CIU League
The top of the table clash in the darts section proved to be very one-sided as West Auckland whitewashed the visiting Eldon Lane to go nine points clear. West had wins from Robert Douthwaite, John Denham, Brian Denham and Chris Kitch to add to the team game
In the dominoes section the leaders, Old Shildon went down by two points at Evenwood, who moved up to share the top spot with their beaten visitors.
Evenwood had points from Ronnie Preston, Stuart Fox and Tony Webb whilst Geoff Rowland took the visitors only point.
Horndale went one clear of Eldon Lane at the top of the whist section after they only dropped one point to their hosts at Cockton Hill, who had Bob Bradley as their only winner. Horndale's points came from George Mills, Jim Ripley and Barry Shippen.
Cockton Hill managed a home draw against Horndale in the 5's and 3's section and this allowed Old Shildon to move up just two points adrift after they whitewashed their hosts at Evenwood. The Old Shildon winners were Darren Blood, Geoff Rowland, Alan Bell and Keith Gittens.
Old Shildon were held to a draw at pool by Evenwood, allowing Cockton Hill, who whitewashed the visiting Horndale, to go two points clear. Michael Townsend and Peter Townsend won for Evenwood with Darren Blood and Michael Aldworth replying. The Cockton Hill whitewash came with wins from Dennis Race, Bria Singlewood, Russell Place and Peter Race.

CIU League
The final of the League Knockout Cup will be between Crook Belle Vue and Byers Green after both came through tight semi-finals. The Crook team beat Ferryhill by taking the last three points at Cockton Hill, whilst Byers Green beat Middlestone Moor in the tightest possible dominoes decider at Newfield.
At Cockton Hill Ferryhill managed to stay level with Crook Belle Vue until the match reached six each with one point to come from darts, dominoes and pool. The Crook side were successful at each when Dave Byrne beat Keith Wilkinson at darts, John Ward beat Gary Taylor at dominoes and Doug McCarthy beat Terry Wray at pool.
At Newfield Middlestone Moor and Byers Green were locked together at seven each with one dominoes game to play. Brian Sheldon of Byers Green and Rob Kidman of Middlestone Moor went to four legs each and into the decider. This was stopped with Byers Green winning by two spots on the count.
On the Finals Night at the Prospect Club Doug McCarthy of Crook Belle Vue beat his teammate, Jeff Sneath to take the Individual Darts title and then the two paired up to win the Double Darts Championship, beating Kenny Louth and Steve Hutchinson of Willington in the final.
In the Individual Dominoes Final Peter Race of Cockton Hill beat Paul Trow of Willington, whilst the Doubles Championship was won by John Johnson and Steve Bell of Crowtrees following their win over Jimmy Pearson and Alan Taylor of Chilton in the final.
Derek Gleason of Crowtrees won the Individual Pool Championship with a victory over Jeff Sneath of Crook Belle Vue. However Jeff Sneath then joined his darts partner, Doug McCarthy to take the Pool Doubles Championship when they beat Dave Harrison and Jimmy Pearson of Chilton in the final.
The League Presentation Evening will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at Crook Belle Vue.
