Wheatley Hill A opened out a two point gap at the top of the First Division after they only dropped one point to the visiting Cockton Hill, whilst second placed, Spennymoor A dropped two to the visiting Witton Gilbert.
Fishburn A moved three points behind the Moors after only dropping one point at Sherburn Village.
Dennis Clish and Alan Hall put Wheatley Hill two up against the visiting Cockton Hill before Andrew Aisbitt put in a 51 break to reduce the arrears. However Dave Walker took the next for the Hill with a 31 break and Ronnie Peacock completed a good home victory.
Spennymoor A were never headed in their home game against Witton Gilbert but were taken to the decider before making the victory. Paul Atkinson put the Moors ahead with a 44 break only to see Ian Renwick level. Michael Pratt restored the Moors lead but Paul Nord levelled. In the decider Paul Biddle took the Moors to victory when he beat Malcolm Peart in the decider.
John Bower took the first frame for Sherburn Village against the visiting Fishburn A but this proved to be their only point. The visitors had wins from John Carter, Brian Quest, Charlie Hirst and John Griffin.
The joint leaders in the Second Division were both taken to the decider before winning their away fixtures. Coundon edged through at Belmont, whilst Crowtrees A had a similar success at Stanley Central.
Stanley Central looked likely to cause a surprise when they went two up against the visiting Crowtrees A with wins from Jimmy Dufton and Bob Oxley. However Steve Armstrong with a 39 break and Sean Johnston levelled. In the decider Crowtrees Keith McLaughlan beat Walter Cornell.
Belmont went ahead against the visiting Coundon when Tom Robinson senior won. However Coundon moved ahead with wins from Willy Shoulder and Frank Nicholson. Colin Robinson won for Belmont to level the match but Coundon edged to victory when Billy Goggins beat Chris Morley in the decider.
Willington moved up the table just one point behind the joint leaders when they whitewashed the visiting Wheatley Hill B with wins from Gordon Parkin, Arthur Goldsborough, Stan Bennett, Tom Parkin and Jeremy Martin.
Spennymoor B slipped two points behind Willington after losing by the odd point at Sacriston. The home side took the first three frames through Willy Nixon, Dale Evans and Kevin Laing. The Moors pulled back by taking the final frames through Gary Easen and Micky Anderson.
Newhouse moved up level with Spennymoor B with an odd point victory over the visiting Meadowfield. The home side had wins from Ian Dinsdale, John Maddox and Ronnie Pearson with Craig Hughes and Stephen Hughes replying.
New Durham moved six points clear at the top of the Third Division with a whitewash success at Leeholme B. the visitors had wins from Thomas Cairns with a 43 break, Kevin Scullion, Tony Thompson, Neil Phillips and Gordon Bowes.
Second placed Hunwick B lost ground when they went down in the decider at Durham City. John Bate put Hunwick ahead with Barry Stoddart equalising. David Penman restored the Hunwick lead only to see Brian Dunn level again. In the decider Durham's Michael Pratt beat Trevor Lomax.
However Hunwick B made a bigger temporary loss when Tom Ward fell and broke a hip. After an operation in Darlington he is now in Bishop Auckland hospital with the very best wishes of all the players in the league for a very speedy recovery and a quick return to the snooker table.
Crowtrees B moved up to share third place with Durham City and Hunwick A after they only dropped the final frame to the visiting Bearpark B, who had Steve Gott as their only winner. The home side had wins from Martin Wolfe, John Hall, Terry Gibson and David Lowery.
Hunwick A went down by the odd point to the visiting Leeholme A, who had wins from Ian North, Andrew Roe and Karl Thompson. The home points came from Peter Mernor with a 30 break and Neville Blenkinsopp.
Wingate made an odd point First Division win over Shotton Palms in the decider. Dave Swindle and Paul Hickman with a 36 break won for the Palms with Dean Jones and Geoff Howe levelling. In the decider Wingate's Jimmy Mason beat David Hall.
Old Shildon came through in the decider against Newton Aycliffe. Mark Howe and Michael Hewitt put the visitors ahead but Paul Armstrong with a 39 break and Martin Taylor with a 37 break levelled. In the decider Shildon's Michael Aldworth beat Gavin Murray.
Bearpark A beat the visiting Brandon in the decider. Steve Mountain with a 34 break and Shaun Easter won for the home side with Brian Graham and Graeme Jackson levelling. In the decider Bearpark's Andy Donaldson beat Colin Goodrick
Ferryhill A beat the visiting Langley Park in the decider. Dave Robson and Steve Wray won for the home side with Peter Thompson and Stephen Coates levelling. In the decider Ferryhill's Glyn Toas beat Lawrence Jones.
In the Tow Law derby the B team edged to an odd point victory with wins from John Warriner, John Wilson and Eric Lockerbie, whilst Doug Watson and Tommy Williams replied for the A team.
Fishburn B beat the visiting Ferryhill B by the odd point with wins from George Whitelock, Alan Wilson and Jamie Hodgson, whilst Ian Roddam and Mark Wilson replied for the visitors.

Crook League
Crook Belle Vue Club missed the chance of becoming the sole leaders of the First Division when they went down in the deciding doubles at Crook Mill House. This defeat means that the Club have to share the top spot with three other teams, Crook Royal Sun, Crook Travellers Rest B and Crook Olde Horse Shoe A.
The Mill House had singles wins from Mark Nichol, Ian Bibby and Jason Askew with Pip Samson, Brian Wright and Ian Hodkinson putting the Club level. In the deciding doubles Ian Bibby and Mark Nichol took the Mill to victory by beating Brian Wright and Pip Samson.
In the Second Division Crook Jelly's Bar B went to Crook Golden Fleece A for a match where one of them was sure to make their first win of the season. The Fleece only managed singles points from Stephen Fairgieves and Wayne Tindale whilst Jelly's had singles wins from Wayne Harker, Lee Genner, Mick Harker Malcolm Pedelty to add to the doubles of Paul Dowson and Mick Harker.
Crook Coach and Horses B lead the Second Division by ten points from Crook Olde Horse Shoe B, who are two ahead of Howden Australian.

Worthington CIU Team Knockout
Fishburn B threw off their Third Division tag to comprehensively pull off a giant killing act when they beat their First Division visitors from Shotton Palms. The home side received 42 points start but found this reduced to 28 after David Hall beat Michael bell in the first frame.
The second frame produced a very tight encounter with Paul Hickman just managing to beat George Whitelock by four points. Fishburn got their first frame win in the third when Jamie Hodgson beat Dave Swindle by 16 points to put the home side back into a 40 points lead.
The match was virtually killed off in the fourth frame when Fishburn's Alan Wilson put in one of his best ever performances to beat Jimmy Evans by thirty-eight points to give Winston Hodgson a 68-points lead going into the final frame. Facing such a huge deficit Shotton's Colin Jobes tried hard but was never able to make any inroads into the frame, which he lost by eight points. This gave Fishburn B a 333 points to 257 points victory, which puts them into the Second Round, where they will entertain Wingate on Tuesday, December 16
