Bishop Auckland rugby union club is to play host to the Durham Tigers amateur rugby league side nest year.
The Tigers will play their home games at the West Mills ground in Bishop Auckland on Friday evenings, starting at the end of April.
"Durham Tigers have been playing at Meadowfield but are now looking for another home ground that meets the requirements of their league with changing facilities and a clubhouse," said BARUFC official Ron Williamson. "It is an ideal arrangement for us as the Tigers will play their league games in our close season.
"Players can now switch between codes. Our winger James Heslington has already turned out for the Tigers, and others may follow. As soon as we have ended our season with our annual sevens tournament, the first team pitch will be marked up, rugby league style," said Williamson.
