Birtley Town took pride of place in the second round of the Monkwearmouth Charity Cup, despite New Marske fielding a weakened side, writes Malcolm Pratt.
A goal ahead through Carl Pennington after a couple of minutes, the leaders never looked back and romped to a 5-0 win against the Seasiders, who have lost just twice in the League.
Further goals followed from Michael McKay and Anthony Lynch by the 21st minute and there was no way back for the visitors, who conceded second half goals to Michael Ford and Mark Pelley.
Wolviston also gave a good performance winning a nine-goal thriller against Cleadon SC at Jack Clark Park.
A hat-trick by Andy Steele and strikes from David Dowd, Carl Brunskill and Michael Dicchio led Wolviston to a 6-3 victory. David Whelan (2) and Danny Nixon replied for Cleadon.
Three second-half goals enabled Stokesley SC to finish comfortably ahead of Windscale, who levelled through Kevin Law after Dean Talukder had given the home side the advantage.
Talukder scored again and when Jonathan Newton and Tony Sivills also hit the target, Windscale couldn't recover a second time.
The derby between Boldon CA and Harton and Westoe ended in the home side's favour with all the goals coming in the first period.

Jarrow only just made it through the next round, defeating Washington Nissan UK with a last minute goal from Andrew Bonner. Stewart Anderson had given them the lead only for Darren Brand to level early in the second period.
Stephen Roberts, Paul Freary, Andrew Roberts and Stephen Sinclair all netted in Darlington RA's 4-2 win at Ryhope CW whose goals came from Stephen Leadbitter and Alan Surtees.
Holders North Shields went out 3-2 at Whitehaven following an eventful game. Carl McGrady and Stephen Hodgson, with a hotly-disputed penalty, put the Cumbrians in control before the Robins hit back with efforts from Ian Dugdale and Paul Hogg. There was only a minute left when Jonathan Wright headed Whitehaven's winner.
One game was played in the Wearside League and Barnard Castle Glaxo recovered from a two goal deficit to share the points with Annfield Plain. Ross Murray bagged a brace in the last 15 minutes with Joe Baum Glaxo's other marksman.
Kelvin Armstrong, Chris Soulsby and Barry Lindoe were on the mark for the visitors.
