THE Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery is offering free admission to under-16s for the next two months..
Admissions will be free for everyone on Boxing Day and New Year's Day, which have been popular in the past.
Among the events running in the gallery over the next eight weeks is an exhibition of original artwork and posters from the Shell Advertising Art Collection, at Beaulieu, which runs until next Sunday.
Durham Young Musicians will be in concert next Sunday and the humorous world of Beryl Cook's large ladies will be on show between Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, January 25.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition 2003 will be showcased between Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, January 18. One-hundred-and-nine winning and commended entries from more than 60 countries will be displayed.
A mask-making workshop will be held on Saturday and Sunday, December 20 and 21, and there will be a Christmas card-making session on Monday, December 22.
People can learn how to make stained glass at an event being held on Tuesday, December 23, and there will be an exhibition of wildlife photographs on Monday and Tuesday, December 29 and 30.
