FATHER Christmas will be at Woodham Community Technology College, in Newton Aycliffe, for a learning event this week.
The college will be holding its annual Christmas family learning morning on Saturday, from 10.30am to 1pm.
The theme of the event is Learning is Fun.
Father Christmas will be in the main hall, where there will also be face-painting by Mary Wilkinson and Sheila Canney.
The morning will include family workshops, use of information and communications technology and activities based on learning, including art workshops, letters to Santa, Christmas paper crafts, nail art, hair braiding, healthy eating and body art.
The event is being held to support Durham County Council's Family Learning initiative.
Details of adult education courses due to start at the college in Januplus information on a family learning course that will be available.
Refreshments will be organised by the school's Parent Teacher Association.
The college's cheerleading squad, the Woodham Wildcats, will provide entertainment.
