A SCHOOL choir is getting ready for its biggest day of the year.
Members of the choir at Hardwick Primary School, Sedgefield, are practising hard for the annual appearance at Durham Cathedral.
The school has taken part in the fundraising event for the NSPCC for 15 years.
This year, the Hardwick choir, which is performing alongside several other schools in the cathedral on Saturday, consists of 24 pupils aged seven-to-11.
The children will be singing two songs during the concert: My Life My Love and A Light Has Come, A Child Is Born.
The children will also be performing at a Christmas party for patients at Sedgefield Community Hospital on Tuesday, December 16.
The children, who have been practising for several weeks, will also be performing in school in the run up to Christmas.
