PUPILS at a Northallerton primary school have been taking part in a day of festive learning with Santa and a team from energy company npower.
The npower staff put on Power Day, a series of workshops tailored to different power themes, for youngsters at Bullamoor Junior School, in Moorview Road. Workshops included a combination of hands-on activities, video presentations and team challenges.
In the run-up to Christmas, the challenges all had a festive theme.
The team power challenge saw pupils adopting the role of the three kings following the star of Bethlehem. The natural power challenge asked pupils to think about items in the home that use more energy during the Christmas period.
Headteacher Bob Wallace said: "All the pupils really enjoyed the day.
"The activities gave children the opportunity to learn some really important lessons outside the traditional classroom environment, and the festive theme helped us all get into the Christmas spirit."
Liz Gater, npower's education development officer, said: "Fun is an important element of our education programme for pupils of all ages and abilities."
