Darlington boss David Hodgson is still waiting to hear whether he will face any punishment for his sending off at Swansea City.
Hodgson was red-carded by referee Clive Penton for repeated use of foul and abusive language towards the fourth official during the 1-0 defeat at the Vetch Field 12 days ago.
However, the club last night confirmed they are still awaiting a decision from the Football Association over his dismissal.
The Quakers boss was handed a 40-day touchline ban after a similar incident four years ago during his last spell in charge.
The referee's report arrived at FA headquarters last week and a Football League spokesman said: "He was initially warned twice in the first half by the fourth official. At half-time the fourth official told the referee what had happened.
"The fourth official was told to tell the referee if the manager said anything in the second half. About 60 minutes in, the referee was called over for a word and it was then that the manager was sent off."
However, Hodgson has maintained his innocence, saying: "It just doesn't make sense. I couldn't believe it because I had fans behind the dug-outs catapulting paper balls at me, while I'm coaching. What's worse?"
Hodgson, meanwhile, has rewarded goalkeeper Michael Price with a contract extension until the end of the season.
The Newcastle-born stopper, released by Leicester City during the summer, joined Quakers on a short-term deal as cover for first-choice keeper Andy Collett.
However, Price has made 13 appearances for Quakers this season in the absence of Collett, who suffered a punctured lung in September. Collett is scheduled for a first-team return at the end of the month after training with the youth team on Monday.
* Doncaster player-coach Paul Barnes, 36, is set to leave the club on a free transfer after putting in a transfer request.
