BOYS and girls enjoyed a day of football at Darlington's Dolphin Centre yesterday.
Children from schools around the town took part in a five-a-side soccer tournament organised by Darlington Racial Equality Council.
There were also quizzes, videos and exhibitions to teach the children about race awareness.
The Mayor of Darlington, Councillor Ron Lewis, presented the prizes, which were donated by Morrison's supermarket.
Tony Lindsay, acting director of Darlington Racial Equality Council, said: "It was a great day and the children really enjoyed themselves."
