Tow Law Area League: Itop match of the week Billy Row Club took over second place from the previous holders, the visiting Esh McKennas.
The Club raced into a five points lead when they had singles wins from Gordon Walsh, Harold Parkin, David Hopps, Bob Potts and Edna Dawson before McKennas put their first point on the scoreboard with a win by Mark Davis in the final singles. The Club took two of the three doubles with Enid Starr and Joe Starr taking the only other point for McKennas.

Wilington League
Willington Cottles were eyeing the top spot in the table when they visited Willington New Inn looking for a big win. However things came unstuck as the home side recovered to win in the deciding doubles. Pat swain and Jean Swain took singles for the home side but John Barron, Brett Fleming and John Gallagher moved Cottles ahead. The match as squared when John Perkins and Lenny Glasper won the first doubles. In the deciding doubles the new Inn went to victory when Phil Blyth and Des Ayre beat Brett Fleming and John Barron.
Willington Lion and Unicorn retained their lead of four points at the top with Hunwick Joiners Arms sharing the second place with Willington Cottles, one point ahead of Willington Club.

Crook League
Crook Travellers Rest B lifted themselves into third place in the First Division after they recovered from being two down at Crook Spitfire Club but recovered to take the remaining point. Harry Tait and Ronnie Rinaldi put the home side ahead but the Travellers then took over. They had singles wins from Peter Coates, Michael Burke, Bill Fairhurst and Doug Bowey with Neil Campbell and Bill Fairhurst adding the doubles.
Crook Belle Vue remain two points clear at the top of the First Division with Crook Royal Sun two points behind. The Travellers Rest B moved up just a point behind the Sun.
In the Second Division the leaders, Crook Coach and Horses B crashed to their second defeat of the season when they only managed to take two points from the visiting Crook Queen's Head A. Gerald Parkin won the only singles for the Coach and then added the doubles with the held of David Stephenson. The Queen's had singles wins from Alan Topping, Tommy Longstaff, Peter Genner, John Howarth and Doug Smailes.

Tow Law & District League
Newhouse Club missed the chance of taking over the top spot when leaders, Tow Law Football Club's match was postponed, when they went down by the odd point to the visiting Tow Law Dan's Castle B. The visitors went three up with wins from Dave Riches, John Robson and Anthony Lee, but the home side managed to come back to take the last two with wins from Harry Dinsdale and Steve Turner.
Tow Law Station pulled off an odd point away win at Hamilton Row Black Horse when they wins from Wayne Tennant, Alan Ogilvie and Chris Reed, whilst the home side had wins from Alan Taylor and Steve Wilkie.

Willington and District League
Byers Green Royal Oak moved up to share second place with Willington Cottles B after they beat the visiting league leaders, Sunnybrow Brown Trout for the loss of only one point. The Oak had wins from Paul Brownson, Michael Smith, Simon Nutter and Wayne Kerr, whilst the Trout's only point came from Ian Stoker.
Willington Cottles B held on to a share of second place after they beat the visiting Hunwick Quarry by the odd point. Cottles had wins from Paul Trow, Gilly Spark and Dave Bennett, whilst Dave Edmundson and Dave Robson replied for the Quarry.
