The Charity League semi-final, first leg drew two premier division teams together at Jesmond Parish Church.
Alistair Gibson put Jesmond one ahead before the break. Four unanswered goals from David Rowe gave Consett St Patricks a commanding lead. Gibson got his second and a goal by Andy Watson made the score 4-3 to the Saints.
In the other second division game Middlesbrough Baptists took on St John's Snods Edge from the first division. A goal in each half through David Dixon and John Schofield gave Middlesbrough a 2-0 lead going into the second leg.
In the premier division a bottom of the table clash saw Airport Church's Michael Walker score on the stroke of half-time. Airport then missed an open goal with Nick Rowling collecting the ball and immediately scoring at the other end for Heworth Christian Fellowship. Ben Oliver and Euan McGarrity each scored to give Airport Church a 3-1 win.
Division one Lanchester Chapel had Andrew Sword score two goals for a 2-0 lead at half-time. Stephen Poulter stretched the lead to 3-0. Whitley Bay Churches came back with a penalty from Steve Walker and a strike from Chris Stratford brought the score to 3-2 with Lanchester holding on for the win.
Division Two's Youth Ministry Team Waldridge are still holding on to their undefeated league record. This week it was the turn of City Church Newcastle to travel to Chester-le-Street. David Millar (2) and John Armstrong put Youth 3-0 ahead in the first half. Haydon Watson got City's only goal before Millar completed his hat-trick and Patrick Stevens and John Coffer added to the scoresheet to make the final score 6-1.
