TWO girls' football teams are bracing themselves for the final of the North Yorkshire County Cup, which takes place today.
Wensleydale School and Rosset High School, from Harrogate, will contest the final after getting through a series of rounds against schools from all over the county.
The team from Wensleydale have also just been crowned seven-a-side champions after winning the Hambleton and Richmondshire tournament in November.
Lee Wasden, head of PE at the school, said: "Girls' football in this area is certainly booming at the moment. Our team has done really well to get to the final because we are one of the smallest schools in the area."
The team from Wensleydale beat Norton School, from Ryedale, in the semi-final and King James School, from Knaresborough, in the previous round.
