POLICE are anxious to talk to collectors of valuable Lladro porcelain who may have come across an unusual item which was stolen in one of two burglaries.
Intruders forced their way into a home in Station Road, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, and a number of Lladro figurines are missing.
The highly collectable porcelain statuettes are made in Spain and are mostly pale blue, white or brown.
The stolen property includes a rare piece called Folk Dancing, no longer produced by the Lladro factory.
A similar burglary took place in the town's Saxty Way on Monday, when other Lladro ornaments were taken.
Detectives are hoping to trace anyone who thinks they may have seen Folk Dancing or any other Lladro items for sale in suspicious circumstances, or who may have any other information related to the burglaries.
Anyone who can help is asked to call police on (01609) 789452.
