A TAXI firm is selling two signed football shirts to the highest bidders in the hope of raising its funds for Children in Need to £1,000.
Station Taxis, based at Bank Top Railway Station, Darlington, has two Middlesbrough shirts - one home shirt and one away - autographed by most of the players, including recent signing Gaizka Mendieta.
With Christmas around the corner and festive spirits high, Station Taxis is hoping that the shirts will generate a lot of interest.
Director Michael Dunn said the shirts have also been put on the online auction site ebay and will be given to the highest bidder or bidders after a week.
The funds from the sale of the shirts will be added to the pot of money raised for Children in Need, which already totals £650.
Anyone interested in the shirts can contact Station Taxis on (01325) 382222.
