TRAIN passengers on inter-city services along the East Coast Main Line can get free high-speed Internet access during their journeys for the next two weeks.
It is being run on a free trial basis by rail operator GNER, which has conducted trials on the quality of signals.
If customer reaction is favourable, the company plans to fit its fleet of high-speed trains with the wireless data communication system.
This week, the southbound train will stop at Newcastle att 11.02am, Darlington at 11.30am and York at 12.01pm.
Next week, the southbound train will stop at Newcastle at 7.02pm, Darlington at 7.30pm and York at 8.01pm.
This week, the northbound train will stop at York at 5.31pm, Northallerton at 5.52pm, Darlington at 6.05pm, Durham at 6.22pm and Newcastle at 6.44pm.
Next week, the northbound train will stop at York at 7.35am, Darlington at 8.04am, Durham at 8.22am and Newcastle at 8.40pm.
