BEARS will be playing a part in Guisborough's biggest ever crafts and home-grown food market on Saturday.
More than 20 members of Yorkshire's Brigantia arts and crafts fair will be selling their wares at the Market Cross.
One of those will be retired teacher 71-year-old Joyce Thistlewaite, from Brotton, who makes collectors' bears, made in woven mohair, and creates about three or four a week. The price of the bears range between £39 and £120. They have found new homes as far away as the US, Australia and South Africa.
"I'm looking forward to the Guisborough market," she said. "I wish there were more local ones."
As well as the craft stalls there will be stalls selling locally produced food, street entertainment, including a stilt walker, Punch and Judy and the Old Glory Band, plus a hog roast.
Anyone who wants a stall to sell their produce is asked contact market superintendent Anne Griffiths on (01287) 651601, or Carol Hudson on (01287) 635088.
