A TEENAGE harpist will perform at a children's Christmas workshop on Saturday.
Sarah Paterson, from Saltburn, has been playing the harp since she was eight and will perform Christmas carols at the event in James Finegan Hall, Eston.
The 14-year-old, who attends Redcar's Sacred Heart RC School, will begin her performance at 11.30am.
There will be music from the Hall's Wurlitzer organ, played by Harry Nichols, by arrangement with the Langbaurgh Theatre Organ Society, for two sessions of carol singing throughout the day.
Father Christmas will open the workshop and youngsters get the chance to create their own Christmas cards.
All arts and crafts materials will be supplied free. The event has been organised by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's events and play development section, which is presenting selection boxes and games to Zoe's Place, the baby hospice in Normanby, thanks to donations from local businesses.
In addition, there will be Christmas storytelling, entertainment, a chance to try circus skills, party games, face-painting, a caricaturist and a free prize draw.
The event takes place between 11am and 4pm and children must be accompanied by an adult.
