AN anonymous master craftsman has donated a rocking horse to a pub for charity.
The 2ft by 1ft horse will be raffled on New Year's Eve with money raised going to the Alzheimer's Research Trust.
Licensee Nigel Anderson, of the Vane Arms, in Thorpe Thewles, near Stockton, said pub regulars have raised more than £4,000 for the charity in three years.
Mr Anderson, who has chosen the Alzheimer's Research Trust as his pub's in-house charity for family reasons, helps organise a charity book shop in the pub and every year a retired master craftsman donates a toy for raffle.
He said: "The craftsman is retired but he always remains anonymous. These days it's a hobby for him and in the past he's always donated dolls houses which have been wonderful. This year he's done something different with the rocking horse."
