Burglars broke into Darlington Football Club's old Feethams ground at the weekend, taking all the team's training and playing kit.
Cash-strapped Quakers, whose supporters launched a scheme at the weekend to help towards playing funds for manager David Hodgson, were last night appealing for information.
Quakers left Feethams in May but still use the ground's washing facilities.
The theft is believed to have taken place on Sunday night from the washroom.
Training jackets, shirts, shorts, socks and match balls were among the items taken.
Darlington's kits are made by Scottish sports firm, Xara, which may have to provide more strips if the stolen ones are not recovered in time for Saturday's Third Division trip to Cambridge.
"This is the last thing we need at the moment," said Hodgson.
"They've take absolutely everything from the wash- room. I just can't believe someone would go and do such a thing."
A club spokesman last night revealed the long-sleeved first-team and reserve team shirts which were taken are not available to buy from the club shop. The club has called on supporters to look out for the black and white striped home shirts and the predominantly yellow away shirts.
The Associated Supporters' Kitty (Task) raised more than £2,000 before Saturday's win over York City at the Reynolds Arena.
However, it is unlikely to be used towards replacing the stolen items.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Darlington police on (01325) 467681.
