A NEW physiotherapist clinic is opening in Darlington.

Chris Shannon who runs the Star House Physiotherapy Clinics, in Barnard Castle and at the Quality Living Health and Fitness Club, at Scotch Corner, is expanding the business.

The new premises in Duke Street will be open in the next two weeks.

It will be staffed by experienced chartered physiotherapists, who can treat conditions including back and neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis, headaches, repetitive strain injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation.

The business provides employment for ten people, with five physiotherapists, a practice manager, accounts manager and reception and cleaning staff.

Mr Shannon said: "The new practice will offer a caring and friendly environment to all our clients and a wide range of skills and treatments.

"We are able to offer not only a quality physiotherapy service but also a choice of location for people living and working in the Darlington area, who would otherwise find it difficult to access treatment."

The clinic aims to treat people within 48 hours and will be open flexible hours, including early evenings and Saturday mornings.
