MORE than £200 worth of heroin and almost £1,000 in cash was seized by police in a raid yesterday.
The drugs, cash and assorted drugs paraphernalia were recovered from a house in Peel Street, Middlesbrough.
The raid was carried out by drugs squad officers and the district support unit as part of the successful Cleveland Police initiative Dealer-a-Day.
Since last week, police have recovered heroin with a street value of £9,920 and £1,590 in cash in six raids
Detective Sergeant Paul Templeman, of Middlesbrough police, said: "We are steaming ahead into the third year and we promise there will be no let up in our fight against drugs.
"As long as residents continue to supply good quality up to date information on drug dealing in the community we will continue to target those who blight Middlesbrough's streets.'
