TEAM HELP: Eaglescliffe Elementis Junior Football's under 16s team have been given a new strip by Yarm shop Browns Alternative Flooring.
The club was founded two years ago and has risen from the fifth division to the third. Elementis Limited has provided the pitch and helped them buy equipment. Hygena has also made donations, and prisoners from Kirklevington have refurbished the changing rooms. Team members come from Eaglescliffe, Yarm, and Ingleby Barwick and Hartburn. CHRISTMAS CONCERT: A musical evening is taking place in the Octagonal church, by the river tomorrow. Yarm Methodist Church Choir is performing its Christmas Concert, which features carols, comedy and choruses, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3, available on (01642) 652326 or from choir members.
PARTY NIGHT: People are invited to a New Year's Eve party with dancing, games, a late bar and buffet supper at Egglescliffe Community Centre. Durham Lane, Eaglescliffe, from 7.30pm to 12.15am. Tickets are £6 for members and £7 for non-members, available by calling (01642) 651141 (evenings).
CHURCH SERVICES: The Christmas services for St Mary Magdalene Parish Church, Yarm, are as follows: December 21 - nine lessons and carols at 6.30pm; Christmas Eve - crib service at 6.30pm and midnight mass at 11pm; Christmas Day - sung eucharist at 10am.
FESTIVE CAROLS: Eggles-cliffe C of E Primary School's carol concert is on Friday, December 19, at St John's Church, at 2pm. It is hoped there will be a display of the children's designs entered in the Christmas cover competition for the front of the parish magazine.
GOOD FOOD: The school meals catering team from Whinstone Primary School, Ingleby Barwick, has won the marketing category in the Schools Catering Awards.
COFFEE MORNING: A recent coffee morning in Worsall village raised £540 for church funds.
