THE ultimate guide to the region's movers and shakers will be given away free in tomorrow's edition of The Northern Echo.
Northern People 2004 is a 96-page biographical guide to more than 800 of the North's most prominent people.
Readers can use it to find out where people were educated, where they work and how they spend their spare time.
This year, in addition to the biographical entries, we asked northern people several thought-provoking questions.
They included their most nerve-wracking moment; what they most and least liked about their jobs; their funniest moments; their earliest memories; how they would like to be remembered; and what irritates them.
The publication includes biographies of Robson Green, Tony Blair, children's author Terry Deary, Claire King, Wendy Craig, radio DJ Paul Gough, Tim Healy, Denise Welch, Pam Royle, Carol Malia and Mike Neville.
Robson Green is most irritated by morris dancers, whom he describes as highly suspect. Claire King's most nerve-wracking moment was her first day on the set of Emmerdale.
And Terry Deary said he would rather be forgotten than remembered.
