AN article in Friday's (Dec 12) The Northern Echo, titled Northumbrian Gets Unexpected Bonus, featured a table of water and sewerage charges.
The table stated Hartlepool Water customers paid an average of £116 for their water services. Anglian Water, which owns Hartlepool Water, has pointed out that this figure relates only to its southern customers, people in Hartlepool paying an average of £87.
The figures published were provided by the Government's water regulator, Ofwat, and were published in good faith.
