YOUNGSTERS across Darlington are being invited to have their say on the development of the town's parks.
Many residents have already taken part in a telephone survey to find out what they would like to see in local parks and open spaces.
Issues including improvements to lighting, security and play equipment will come under consideration at an event for young people on Saturday.
They will be asked to complete a questionnaire at the Dolphin Centre, between 9am and 4pm.
All completed questionnaires will be entered into a free draw to win HMV vouchers and every youngster filling out a form will receive a swimming discount voucher.
Results of the questionnaires will be reviewed by Darlington Borough Council in the New Year and used to help prioritise parks and open spaces improvements.
Councillor Eleanor Lister, the authority's cabinet member for leisure, said: "It is very important that people of all ages have their say on what they would like to see in the borough's parks and open spaces. The questionnaire is an ideal way of getting opinions from young people and ensuring that they directly influence the future shape of our parks and open spaces."
