SANTA has been taking a break from delivering presents to get down to some domestic housework.
He and his band of helpers rolled up their sleeves for the winter clean of Hambleton Leisure Centre.
The Northallerton centre is closed this week for its annual maintenance check and while the doors are locked to the public, staff are giving it a thorough clean.
Santa was joined by receptionist and swimming teacher Wendy Patterson, leisure attendant Leanne Barker and receptionists Leanne Robinson and Jeanette Burn for the task.
"We decided to make the job of cleaning a bit more fun by coming in fancy dress - we had all sorts turn up, elves, Mrs Claus and, of course, Santa," said assistant manager Richard Boucher.
"We all muck in together to get the centre in tip top condition for the New Year.
"We choose this time of the year for the maintenance and deep cleaning work because it is traditionally the quietest. Once New Year comes, everyone is back at the centre to burn off the excesses of the festive season."
The centre reopens on Sunday.
