CHILDREN have been showing some Christmas goodwill by collecting gifts for other youngsters.
Students at St Leonard's RC School, Durham, have collected nearly 300 shoe boxes filled with gifts for children who might not otherwise receive any presents.
It took the school only about three weeks to collect the gifts, which are to be handed over to the Samaritans Purse Appeal.
School representative Abbey Hughes said: "I am thrilled with how the students have responded to this cause and the effort that has gone into collecting gifts. "
