AN exhibition by an artist who makes animal heads from papier mache has opened.
David Farrer has been working with recycled material for the past eight years. A show of his latest work has opened at the Hotel du Vin in Harrogate.
Mr Farrer has a home and studio in Knaresborough and a house in Surrey.
He said: "My favoured subject matter is ecological, having a strong interest in green matters. The recycled head concept came about in 1995 while working in South Africa. Over the years, I have travelled extensively in this part of the world and never cease to be amazed by its beauty and abundant wildlife."
He was born in Leeds in 1968, and has lived in Spofforth, near Harrogate and Masham. His work has been exhibited in Johannesburg, Liverpool, Leeds and Halifax.
Mr Farrer has also appeared on a number of television programmes and has a show in the West End.
The Harrogate exhibition runs until the end of January.
