VISUALLY impaired students at a college have been wrapping Christmas presents for the Operation Christmas Child appeal.
Henshaws College, in Harrogate, has joined the appeal which gives children and families the opportunity to send gifts to youngsters who would otherwise not receive a present at Christmas.
The students from Henshaws, which offers further education to young people with visual impairment, have filled shoe boxes with toiletries, sweets, toys, gloves, socks, pens and paper.
They have also raised money to transport the boxes to Eastern Europe by holding a bottle tombola and a raffle.
So far, they have filled 63 boxes with gifts. Last year, a total of more than six million boxes were sent to children in more than 100 countries.
