POLICE are appealing for people who helped a 57-year-old when she had her handbag snatched to come forward.
The incident happened last Saturday in West Dyke Road, Redcar, at 2.30pm.
When the woman shouted for help, several members of the public came to her aid, but so far only one has contacted the police.
About 15 minutes later, a 16-year-old girl had her bag taken as she walked along Muriel Street, in Redcar.
Anyone who has any information about either incident is asked to contact police on (01642) 302626.
* A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old have been arrested and charged with robberyin connection with the incidents.
They appeared at Guisborough magistrates on Monday and were remanded in custody.
