HEALTH visitor Marilyn Norton was given a seasonal surprise this week.
Ms Norton was retiring after working for the past ten years as a health visitor in the Thorntree and Brambles Farm areas of Middlesbrough.
To say goodbye, organisers of the Sure Start programme for families in the area arranged a farewell visit from Santa for her.
She was joined by 60 youngsters from the area, who took a horse-drawn carriage from Thorntree Community Centre to the library in Beresford Crescent.
The carriage ride was part of the Sure Start celebrations for families in the area.
