THREE youngsters will see their artwork in print after winning a Christmas card competition.
The contest was open to 600 members of the Durham County Council Children's Network, a support group for young people up to the age of 18 with disabilities.
Entrants were asked to design cards using drawings, collages or paintings, with the prize of a bison soft toy for the first 50 submitted.
The winner was Alex Mosely, of Villa Real Special School, in Consett.
Second place went to Abbie Barker of Quarrington Hill, near Durham, and Lee Nettleton, of Trinity Special School, Durham, was third.
Cards bearing the designs are being sent to every Children's Network member.
The competition was sponsored by stairlift maker Bison Bede, of Consett.
Marketing manager Angus Long said: "As a father, I know only too well how much effort and enthusiasm goes into a project like this.
"As one of the judges, it was a particularly difficult task choosing the winners."
