THE achievements of staff at a County Durham hospital have been recognised at a celebratory carol service.
The Richardson Hospital, in Barnard Castle, held the carol service, which was attended by staff, patients and relatives, to celebrate the work done by the staff over the past year.
Four members of staff who achieved the highest marks in a health and safety questionnaire were presented with gift vouchers and sweets by health and safety link nurse Margery Boldon. A raffle with more than 50 prizes was also held.
Nicola Wharton, of the hospital, said: "The carol service was very well attended and everyone had a wonderful day.
"All staff at the Richardson Hospital have worked hard over the past year and the event was a fantastic way in which to thank the staff and to celebrate their achievements."
