AN area of woodland is being given a facelift.
The site, next to a path between Muirfield Walk and Thornbury Close, in the Clavering area of Hartlepool, is being improved by the borough council and probation service.
Residents have complained about the way the area attracts anti-social behaviour, and a probation service team has been pruning bushes and removing debris. It will be on site until the New Year.
Mayor Stuart Drummond said: "The overgrown state of the area meant that people felt insecure when walking by. Hopefully, this will become a thing of the past."
