A NEW exhibition will give people the chance to wallow in nostalgia this spring.
But first the organisers are hoping to obtain the help of the public, by encouraging people to dig around in their attics, cupboards and garages for much-loved mementoes of their youth.
The Royal Pump Room Museum, in Harrogate, wants to hear from anybody who can still lay their hands on toys which used to be common and which could form part of the childhood exhibition.
Human history curator Ros Watson said: "If someone has still got a space hopper or pogo stick or is just about to get rid of an early Gameboy or some ninja turtles, we'd like to hear from them.
"Maybe someone had a Cabbage Patch Kid when a child, or perhaps their children have long outgrown their baby buggy or 1980s baby clothes."
The museum is particularly interested in items from the last 30 years, including toys, children's clothing and school equipment.
The exhibition is to be called Childhood: from perambulators to playstation.
Anyone with items to offer can contact Ros on (01423) 556188.
