Great Britain international Stephen Hepples of Loftus AC won the Loftus Poultry Run, clocking 42.27 for the eight-mile race to win by 16 seconds from Darren Bilton of Leeds City.
International decathlete Paul Lowe of Middlesbrough AC claimed third place and led his club to the team victory.
Loftus AC also provided the winner of the ladies' event through another of their international staff.
Catherine Hare led them home in 51.00, finishing over a minute clear of Joann Jackson of Middlesbrough and Cleveland, who was the leading junior runner to finish. Alison Raw of Darlington, the first veteran, finished in third place.
Scarborough won the team title with Susan Brown their leading runner.
The next local event is the Captain Cook Fell Race from Great Aycliffe on New Year's Day.
