PEOPLE who want to find out more about their family history can get help at the library.
The Darlington Centre for Local Studies, in the town's Crown Street Library, has information and advice about tracing ancestors using information from censuses, church registers, newspapers, directories, maps and the national index to the registrars' records of births, marriages and deaths.
The service is free and the centre is open from 9am to 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am to 5pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and 9am to 4pm on Saturdays.
The centre can be contacted on (01325) 349630.
