YOUNG skateboarders, BMX bikers and Inline skaters competed for cash prizes at an event staged by Airtime, Sedgefield Borough Council's mobile skatepark.
Tthe contest was over two rounds and entrants had the ramps, grind rails and quarter pipes to themselves.
The competition took place at Ferryhill Leisure Centre, where about 50 youngsters, aged five to 17, competed for £200 in cash prizes provided by the manufacturers of the Sprite soft drink.
The youngest winner was five-year-old BMX rider Jake Grieves, who collected £5. Runner-up was Bradley Davison, with Craig Golightly third and Scott Exelby fourth.
The 12-14 age group was won by Phillip Cavanah, with Adam O'Donnell and Mitchell Harle placed second and third respectively.
In the largest group for skaters, the 15 and over section, Andrew Bernstone and Christopher Airey were level on 35 points after the first two rounds. Christopher won a final run-off by a point. Scott Ferguson finished third.
