Barnard Castle 4, East End WMC 5: Lewandowski and Robert Fell were both unlucky not to score in the opening minutes as they took the game to the more experience opponents.

Nick Coverdale had a free kick well saved before Robert Hudson was brought down in the box and Ian Spence put away the resultant spot-kick.

Lewandowski then fired home a Hudson cross to put Barney two up and Spence expertly chipped the keeper from 25 yards for the third.

Trailing 3-0 at the interval East End started a remarkable comeback when M and the M Steve Johnson pulled two back.

However, their joy was short lived as man of the match for Barney Robert Fell crossed for Lewandowski to restore their two-goal lead.

East End were not, however, to be denied as Johnson's pace took him clear of the Barney defence whose offside appeals were denied and he duly completed his hat trick.

Johnson levelled matters from the penalty spot with his fourth of the game and in the final minute John Gibson stole up from the back to complete a remarkable comeback.

Dale Neslon gave the visitors an interval lead and Peter Gray levelled only for Heighington's inspirational skipper Nigel Gamblin to clinch the victors' third victory of the season.

Killie struggled to raise a team and found themselves 6-0 down at the interval. Boosted by late arrivals they did manage to draw the second half 2-2 courtest of a brace from Danny Fleary.

* Fox and Hounds failed for the fourth time this season to turn out a side this time against Grey Horse and the failure was quickly followed by the club's resignation from the league.

Their playing record for the season has therefore been expunged from the League records.
