CROOK Rotary Club is helping primary school children create an environmental garden.
President Ken Davison presented a £1,000 cheque to Howden-le-Wear Primary School, which is creating a study area for children and villagers.
Half the money was collected by club members through a variety of fundraising activities.
The remainder came from a matching grant provided by Rotary District 1030, which covers the North-East area.
